Board Minutes for
The
meeting was called to order by Bill Ringbom, President, at
Minutes of the
Treasurer’s Report:
We had negative income for both November and December due to
year-end bonuses and the cost of the Christmas party. The party cost almost $600.
We had 107 tables in November and
72.5 tables in December. We ended the
year with a loss for the year of $1,091.28, primarily due to purchase of the
Bridgemaster for a net cost of $2,200.
Our bank balance as of
Club Manager’s Report:
(1) The problem of playing
directors has been solved.(2) We now
have a cordless mouse for the computer. (3)
There have been complaints from some players about others having private
conversations in another language while at the table. (4) We charge the Unit $15 for supplies for the
monthly game, including hot cups which cost 4.5 or 5 cents each. No change is needed at this time.
Old Business: (1)
Christmas party recap: Overall,
everything went very well. We should have ice for drinks next year. We now have serving utensils purchased by
Mary. We need more salad if we order
from Mama’s Meatball again next year.
(2) A thank you was received
from Fred Strong for his check. (3) We
need to thank Marion Middleton for hosting a lunch for the club. (4) The traveling scores were removed from the
Bridgemaster by Barbara Hardin for the Unit Game. After much discussion pro and con, a motion was made and seconded
to leave the scores off. The motion
passed by a
New Business: Bill will learn next week the details of our club’s
responsibility for refreshments for the Sectional in February and we can make
plans at our next meeting.
