Board Minutes January 18, 2013

The meeting was called to order by Bill Ringbom, President, at 4:15 P.M. Board members Bill Donovan, Mary Neal, Jean Wilson, Bob Clark, Leda Fields and Club Manager BarbaraWeiss were present.. Judy Obermeier were absent,

Minutes of the November 16 and December14, 2012 meetings were reviewed and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: The bank balance as of December 31, 2012 was $2087.93.Net income for December was ($112.25). The month’s table count was 54. Profit for the year ending December 31 2012 was $105.

Club Directors Report: (1) Barbara  reported that the new clock will be in use. (2) We need to encourage our members to join the Senior Center. (3) Marion Middleton will host a Valentine luncheon in February. (4) Discussion was held regarding Charity games. A motion was made to review this action in 3 months by Leda Fields and 2^nd by Jean Wilson. It passed unanimously. (5) It was decided to review the money spent on refreshments at the club in 3 months.

Old Business: Bill Ringbom and John Fields agreed to be Food Chair for the upcoming Sectional in February. There are two Free Plays available from the unit. It was decided to purchase the majority of food rather than have donations of food. Mary Neal and her partner agreed to set up in the morning.

New Business:

There was a brief report from Bob Clark stating that Jean Lardon will write a monthly Newsletter.  The meeting adjourned at 5:05 PM.  The next Board meeting will take place Friday, February 8^, 2013 after the game.
