Board Minutes for March 4, 2011

The meeting was called to order by Bill Ringbom, President at 4:30 p.m.. Board Members Sonia Arsene, Mary Neal, Judy Obermeier, Bill Ringbom, Gene Edgerton were present, as well as Barbara Weiss, manager, and Mike Shipsey, director. Dolores Soll was absent.

Minutes of the February 4, 2011 meeting were approved.

Treasurer’s report: The bank balance as of January 31, 2011, was $1761.25. The bank balance as of February 28, 2011, was $2064.75. With 100 tables in February, the net income for the month was $303.50.

Club Manager’s Report: Income and expense for the food we provided at the Sectional was about equal. However, we brought much of the extra food back to our club for our use.

Old Business: Wednesday evening lessons with Torre will continue.

New Business : Zero Tolerance Policy was discussed and the recommendation to enforce it will be as follows: One half board penalty for profanity. One half board penalty for berating anyone at the table. Director must be called to the table at the time of the incident.

Director should announce that after the round is called, players should move to the next table and there will be no more discussion of the played hands.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m. The next meeting will be after the game on Friday, April 1^st.
