General Meeting and Board Meeting – October 20, 2011
A General Meeting was held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 to unanimously elect two new Board Members: Pete Avotins and Dick Rivera. These two new Members are replacing the two outgoing Board Members, Doris Dunn and Richard Faust. The current budget was read and approved, meeting adjourned.
After the bridge game a Board Meeting was held to welcome the new Members (Dick Rivera was not available) and to discuss the following:
I. The current officers will remain as Officers for the following year:
President: Bill Allen
Vice President: Heidi Boatman
Treasurer: Bill Ringbom
Secretary: Pat Orlando
III. The Unit has agreed to pay the 50% of all Membership Clubs Capital Expenses.
IV. The Unit is looking to recruit additional Directors and is offering $400 towards the expenses of becoming a Director.
V. Holiday Bonuses will be paid the same as last year.
VI. The Holiday/Christmas Party’s actual date needs to be determined. Alphy’s Grill will cater the event for $12.50 per person with an estimated head-count of 80 members. The Club will pay $6.50 per person and each participating member will pay $6.00 to play the day of the Party.

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Dinner Rolls & Butter
Vaquero Salad – Fresh spring mix, black beans, roasted corn, chopped tomatoes & jack cheese, tossed in chipotle ranch dressing & topped w/ homemade tortilla crisps.
Oriental Salad – Fresh assorted cabbages, scallions, cilantro, toasted almonds, shredded carrots, garnished w/won ton crisps & tossed w/sesame ginger vinaigrette.
The Club needs to furnish beverages (the usual coffee, tea and water?).
The Club needs to furnish dessert – I suggest COSTCO cookies??
